Break out the coffee cups—no wait: bring on the large coffee bowls! A deal has just been struck between Netflix and Warner Bros. for a limited-series revival of our favorite Stars Hollow series, Gilmore Girls!

Our original heroes of the zippy written word—series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino—will be joining this welcomed revival after their departure prior to the series finale. This also means we get to see the series work its way to a more concluded conclusion, since the Palladino team and Warner Bros. parted on bad terms before the final season in 2006.

As for the cast, early negotiations are in the works. But don’t worry, after the recent Gilmore Girls Reunion during the ATX Television Festival, we expect the main cast to return with the exception of the late-and-great Edward Herrmann (Friday night dinners will never be the same without him).

This exciting inside scoop also mentions the planned run time for the revival: four 90-minute episodes will grace our Netflix stream, making for a wonderful take-out binge night(s) with our fellow followers of the series.
