Hi, friends: I love me some Monty Python’s Flying Circus, as most intelligent people do. I’ve seen each episode a kabillion times, but I sometimes forget about the more obscure sketches. Here are four of my very favorites that deserve more recognition than they get.
The Silliest Interview Sketch
Who hasn’t wanted to say “This is the least interesting conversation I’ve ever had” to someone?
Ovine Aviation
Silliness AND a French lesson.
Tin vs Wood
Making fun of posh people is always hysterical.
And finally…
Election Night Special
Makes me want to change my name to Tarquin Fin-tim-lin-bin-whin-bim-lim-bus-stop-F’tang-F’tang-Olé-Biscuitbarrel.
Hope these made the thing on the front of your head happy. Hooray for things!!
-Kanderson is an ex-parrot. Job didn’t pay well enough. Follow him on TWITTER.
That hits the target dead cernte! Great answer!
Awww I was really hoping you would put up Dennis Moore! “He steals from the rich! and gives to the poor! Dennis Moore! Dennis Moore! Dum dum dum!” “Give me all your lupins!!” And I love the cat that chokes on lupins!! xD HAHAHAHAHA Or Gambol Putty Devon..of Ulm.Yeah I don’t know it all by heart but some day Chris…Someday.. : )
I’d have to say your Tom Green interview was pretty uninteresting, but you all gave it your best shot! So good on ya, and bob’s your uncle!
Still a fan of the Twit Race. When poor Eric Idle runs himself over, I laugh hysterically.
Here’s my two favorites.

Erogenous Zoooooone! Possibly the best bit post-John Cleese.
The Science Fiction Sketch was the very first Monty Python episode I saw as a young lad and it won me over right from the start. “Which nation is the worst tennis playing nation?” “Australia.” “No no try again.” “Australia?” “No no try again but say a different place.”
At every conceivable opportunity, I direct people to ‘Science Fiction Sketch’; I think enough people have declared it a favorite for it to not be considered too obscure, but as it occupies nearly 2/3 of an entire episode, it’s not your average sketch, either.

“He was nae so much a man as… A BLANCMANGE!”
“Election Night Special” is also my favorite and among the silliest sketches. Actual elections are silly enough already, so they probably didn’t have to do very much writing for this sketch.
