50 Percent of You Will Not Survive The First Trailer For X COMPANY

So, as it turns out, Marvel isn’t the only gang in town planning on unleashing a 1940s set period piece on television in the first quarter of 2015. However, where Agent Carter has certain “Marvel mandates” it must follow, the first trailer for what will, most likely, be Canada’s latest excellent series is painting a picture of a show that’s playing by its own rules, X Company.

Created by Flashpoint (an amazing series you all should go watch) creators Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern, X Company (formally titled Camp X) follows “the stories of five highly skilled young recruits–Canadian, American and British –torn from their ordinary lives to train as agents in an ultra-secret training facility on the shores of Lake Ontario.”

Well that just sounds delightful, doesn’t it? No? Well how about this stellar cast that includes Evelyn Brochu (Orphan Black), Jack Laskey, Warren Brown (Luther), Dustin Milligan (90210), Connor Price (Being Human), Hugh Dillon (Flashpoint) and Lara Jean Chorostecki (Hannibal)? Yeah, we have your attention now, don’t we?

From Orphan Black to Continuum, Canada has been killing it in the television drama game, but none of it would have been possible without the walls that were broken down thanks to Flashpoint. So to finally be feasting our eyes on the new series from the team that created that show, well you could say we’re pretty much ready for anything.

Now, as far as broadcast outside of Canada goes, co-creator Mark Ellis did confirm via Twitter that Sony Television would be handling international distribution of the show in the New Year, but did not reveal which networks that would take place on as the series is still being shopped around:

X Company premieres Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2015 on CBC.
