2012’s Movies, Trial-Sized

A mashup of 2012’s movie trailers in three parts, each with a theme and set to a particular piece of music? Sure, why not? Why should pop music have all the fun? Here, from Sleepy Skunk, is your movie trailer cavalcade of hits, with a LOT of clips from a LOT of trailers. The whole list is here. I’ve never even HEARD of some of them. And some movies are represented with everything that was interesting about them, which is to say a split-second’s worth of explosion or action.

And if that didn’t do it for you, there’s this tribute to the year in movies:

I’m sure there will be more of these, but this should get you thinking about the movies you saw this year. Your favorites? The worst? Comment below….

  1. Eric Bell says:

I am a big fan of HIMYM. I found out that Liberal Arts was actually filmed 5 miles away from the college I went to in Mount Vernon, Ohio. I was extremely excited but then also disappointed that I had not known sooner to visit the set. So I can’t wait to watch it and hopefully see some familiar locations I have once visited.

  2. My favorite movie of the year has been Liberal Arts. This movie is so good in so many ways. It is Josh Radner’s (How I Met Your Mother) second movie. He handles the subjects of aging and relationships in a fresh and entertaining way. It’s out on DVD soon.

My biggest disappointment was 21 Jump Street. I loved the TV show back in the day. The cameos were cool but overall the movie didn’t live up to the hype.
