Few beings possess the ability to make everyone simultaneously angry and delighted like Grumpy Cat does. Nothing is funnier than a little annoyed feline pointing out when things are worth getting your ire up. It’s good times. Maybe she and Eeyore need to hang out and be miserable together. And Marvin the Paranoid Android also. That’d be a hell of a party.
Anyway, it’s Day 6 of the 12 Days of (Grumpy Cat) Christmas comic scripts from Dynamite Comics. We’re at the halfway point and today we get to see another reason for Grumpy Cat to be grumpy. Beyond the normal Christmas cheer, happy friends, decorations, eggnog, and presents–which would make anyone grumpy, right?–we get a flashback to a year when a truly awful gift was given. Hoo-boy.
Boy, that’s some cruddy forethought, huh? Oh, what might have been. Selling the Apple stock is a pretty big crime, but shares in Floppy Discs? I mean, why were they even called that? I remember back in my early computing days, they were big and thin and actually were pretty floppy, but when they upgraded to the 3.5 inch ones, they were thicker than credit cards. Hardly what anyone would even generously call “floppy.” I suppose the name of something isn’t important when they become obsolete within a minute of being used. You’d need a room of them just to have the same memory as a phone now.
Be sure to check back tomorrow and every day leading up to Christmas for more of Grumpy Cat’s horrible presents of old.
