Neat? It’s 10 fucking seconds long!! There are almost as many black frames in the video as there are frames of things. Why did they even bother?!?! Photographs would have been more beneficial. “In case you didn’t know, here are the people in the movie.” Wow. Thanks, I guess.

This is what’s called a marketing ploy and clearly it has been effective.
You and I are a living example of it’s effectiveness. I didn’t know this trailer existed. You did. Then you wrote a blog about it. I knew the movie was coming out, but was apathetic and might have forgotten about it. Then you wrote this post about the upcoming Avengers Super Bowl commercial, which makes it the Avengers commercial, the Super Bowl commercial I know the most about. Because I like to feel smart, I will probably reference this fact to my friends during the game at some point and as a result The movie the Avengers will be more likely to be considered as an event myself and my friends will attend when the movie finally comes out this summer.
