Hotel Brings 10 Pound Donut to Your Room with “DoNut Disturb” Package

What are the most important things a good hotel should provide you? A clean room? Nice amenities? A polite staff? WRONG, SO WRONG. The correct answer is whether or not they have a gigantic 10 pound donut you can order to your room, which is why the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort in Palm Springs is the only good hotel.

We learned about this sweet beautiful monster at Foodbeast, because they actually ordered the $219 “DoNut Disturb” package, and it looks glorious. They say the made-to-order donut is “at least a foot tall” and has “layers of Tahitian vanilla cake, cream, and raspberry jelly infused on the inside” with “fondant, an electric pink creme frosting, tropical fruit macaron crisps, and neon jimmies.”

And when they bring it to your room like a conquering general returning to Rome, it includes a “set of milkshakes,” because just a couple of them wouldn’t get the job done.

And if you’re worried about the $219 price tag or that eating a 10 pound donut might not be ideal for fitting into your bathing suit while in Palm Springs, the package also comes with a $50 credit. You can use it towards golf (walk the calories off), use their spa (sweat them off), or for dining (hey, why not?).

So yes, it’s nice to go to a clean, friendly hotel and find a little mint on your pillow at the end of the night, but now we’re always going to be disappointed when we can’t order a comically large donut from service. Because what makes a hotel a good one just went up by a measure of 10 pounds.

Would you order this–twice? Tell us how you’d tackle eating this in our comments below.
